Richard Penguin, Norwich's foremost music officianado, has been involved in music for more than 20 years, getting first-hand experience performing in his own band (Penguins Go Pop) back in the '80s (but soon to make a comeback!) and more recently, writing reviews of gigs in his column in Triangle Magazine.  Richard's extensive knowledge of music has made him a well placed commentator on the burgeoning Acoustic scene which is now emerging in Norwich.  Richard runs his own press and promotion agency and represents many talented artists. Richard also presents a specialist show on Future Radio called "Acoustic & Eclectic" and this spawned the very successful nights which he ran at Olives from January 2009 to February 2012. Richard's nights showcased local bands and artists, together with well established national and international professional performers.  Richard rounded up an extremely talented collection of varied unique and innovative performers covering several genrés of music.  The nights had something to offer everyone and therefore catered for a range of tastes.
